Greenwich Hospital mourns the loss of Board Emeritus Trustee Peter Griffin. Peter served as a member of the Board of Trustees for over 20 years and was deeply involved in transforming Greenwich Hospital from a community hospital into a premier regional healthcare facility.
Peter served Greenwich Hospital as a member of numerous committees and was among the leaders involved in decisions “big and small” from medical manpower, fundraising and strategic planning to design details such as selecting the brick for the new hospital and the fabric on the privacy curtains in patient rooms. Peter was honored with the President’s Award at the Hospital’s 2010 Gala and was a generous donor to the hospital, GEMS and other community groups. His kindness and dedication was greatly admired and he will be missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Peter’s memory to Greenwich Hospital. We respectfully honor the life of Peter Griffin and the way his family has chosen to pay tribute to him.
