Susan D. Flynn Oncology Nursing Fellowship

The Susan D. Flynn Oncology Nursing Training Fellowship was established in 2014 in Susan’s memory by her husband, Frederick C. Flynn, Jr. The program was inspired by the compassionate care received from Greenwich Hospital’s Palliative Care Program, when Susan was in the final stages of her three-year battle with ovarian cancer.

Since 2014 when the program was first piloted at Greenwich Hospital, over 100 aspiring oncology nurses have participated in this unique, national fellowship program and about half of the Flynn Fellows have begun their oncology nursing careers.

I want to do what I can to advance oncology nursing so that other families can receive the same extraordinary quality of care our family received at Greenwich Hospital, said Fred Flynn.
