The Benefit for Greenwich Hospital
Our biggest event of the year is an exuberant celebration of friendship and philanthropy.
The Benefit for Greenwich Hospital is our biggest fundraiser of the year. It is a celebration of the hospital’s work and its many talented doctors, nurses, caregivers and support staff. It is also a chance to show our sincere gratitude to our circle of generous donors, patrons, sponsors and volunteers. This one event, with dinner, dancing and an evening of cherished memories, brings together like-minded people who significantly impact the full array of hospital services. It plays an important role in increasing awareness about Greenwich Hospital’s programs, initiatives and growth areas that impact the health and well-being of our community.
Thank you!
Our 2024 Benefit event will do a lot of good. Support throughout the community makes it possible for Greenwich Hospital to keep its commitment to excellence in research, science and individualized, compassionate care--the foundation of its clinical programs. The gala is a moment to celebrate our vision, innovation, and local investment, where possibilities turn into reality along the continuum of the health care. Our 2024 awardees are Icy and Scott Frantz, and our honorees are Dr. Romelle Jones Maloney and Dr. Shruti Gupta.
See you again in 2025!

2023
The Benefit for Greenwich Hospital was held on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Greenwich Country Club. Our Board of Trustees and Campaign Leadership joined talented physicians, prominent civic leaders, philanthropic supporters, and corporate friends for this year’s festivities. It marked the public launch of our Campaign, which supports Behavioral Health, Children’s Health, Heart and Vascular, Neuroscience and Oncology. The event provided an opportunity to honor physician Dickerman Hollister Jr., MD. During his 40-year career in oncology, he cared for thousands of patients and their families, and embodies the best of Greenwich Hospital. Research, science and individualized, compassionate care is the foundation of our clinical programs.
2022
Supporters and friends gathered at Greenwich Country Club on May 20, 2022, for the hospital’s annual Benefit, raising funds for key areas of growth in Behavioral Health, Children's Health, Heart and Vascular, Neuroscience and Oncology. After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the sold-out evening honored former Greenwich Hospital Board of Trustees Chair Arthur C. Martinez, Mrs. Elizabeth Martinez and family, as well as physician Dr. James A. Brunetti. Former Today Show co-host and longtime Riverside resident Kathie Lee Gifford delighted guests as the event’s master of ceremonies, and a live auction was led by renowned auctioneer Lydia Fenet of Christie’s Auction House. A poem was read from a book created by Emergency Department staff about their experiences during the pandemic. Throughout the reading, images of employees during the height of COVID-19 illuminated the stage. After, members of the frontline took to the stage and received a standing ovation. The backdrop was a reproduction of the mural created by artist Rick Garcia, commissioned by C. Parker Gallery as a gift to Greenwich Hospital.
