Covid-19 Letter – Office of Development April 20, 2020

“Dear Dr. Sabetta, Thank you for your extraordinary dedication to Greenwich Hospital and the health of our community. Due to the overwhelming challenge of the current coronavirus pandemic, we are delighted to contribute and grateful that our community is under the care of you and your colleagues at Greenwich Hospital Yale New Haven Health.”   Tracy and Catherine Wolstencroft
Dear Friends,
During this challenging time our community is fortunate to have access to some of the greatest minds in infectious diseases both here at Greenwich Hospital and through our deep partnership with Yale New Haven Health.
These medical leaders are on the forefront of research, thought, and care. Their alliance with scientific colleagues around the world helped to guide our staff in preparation for the inevitable arrival of Covid-19 and to provide ongoing, daily medical oversight that allows our staff to stay positive and focused. Through national, investigative programs Greenwich Hospital and YNHH researchers in infectious diseases are steadfastly exploring many treatment options for hospitalized patients with severe or life-threatening Covid-19. Their work may help patients recover more rapidly from this virus.
Over the past weeks, Greenwich Hospital has received inspiring community support of its Covid-19 Funds, including a generous gift in recognition of James R. Sabetta, MD, The Mimi and Don Kirk/James R. Sabetta, MD Chief of Infectious Diseases at Greenwich Hospital. We are so grateful for the tireless and heroic work of Dr. Sabetta and all the doctors, nurses and hospital staff during this unprecedented medical crisis.
We thank you for your continued support.
With deepest gratitude,
Noël Appel and the Office of Development Team
