Behavioral Health programs at Greenwich Hospital earn prestigious accreditation

Greenwich Hospital has received accreditation from The Joint Commission under the Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Behavioral Health Care and Human Services for its Adult and Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP). This prestigious recognition affirms the hospital’s commitment to providing safe, high-quality and patient-centered behavioral healthcare services.

The three-year accreditation follows a comprehensive review and a 60-day Evidence of Standards Compliance process, culminating in a full survey conducted by The Joint Commission – the nation’s oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in health care. This rigorous evaluation ensures that all behavioral health programs meet or exceed national standards in areas such as patient care, treatment planning, risk management and clinical quality.

Greenwich Hospital’s IOPs offer comprehensive mental health treatment for adolescents and adults who require structured, short-term support while continuing to live at home. The programs focus on individualized care, family involvement and coordination with schools and primary care providers to ensure lasting impact. Greenwich Hospital joins Yale New Haven and Bridgeport Hospitals as the third delivery network within the Yale New Haven Health System to earn this distinction.
