A Big Event in Greenwich for Little Ones

As March 2024 came to an end, Greenwich Hospital hosted Medical Insights: Celebrating Children’s Health, putting the focus on a key area of our $125 million Arc of Care Campaign. The campaign aims to transform Behavioral Health, Children’s Health, Heart and Vascular, Neuroscience and Oncology at the hospital. The event, held at the Indian Harbor Yacht Club in Greenwich, offered guests an opportunity to engage with some of the hospital’s pediatric health experts while also sharing one another’s company and meeting new friends.

The evening’s extraordinary success is thanks to event co-chairs Katie Fong Biglin, Jennifer Borzykowski, Julia Braun, Lindsay Gurciullo, Andrea Sinkin Jaffee, Jen Turano and Lindsay Wilner Rudder (all members of the Greenwich Hospital Office of Development Campaign Leadership Council).

Robert Berkley, Jr., chairman of the Greenwich Hospital Board of Trustees, welcomed guests and thanked them for ongoing support. Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer Noël Appel recognized the cochairs for their many contributions, as each was presented with a colorful bouquet. Additionally, Karen Santucci, SVP and Chief Medical Officer at Greenwich Hospital, shared a few insights about children’s medicine today before calling out the name of one lucky guest who won a weighted stuffed animal, designed specifically to ease anxiety in children.

Growing in Greenwich

The children’s health event supports our Annual Fund, which directly helps departments with the greatest need. Gifts to this fund are unrestricted, which means they can be directed where needed most. Our Annual Fund is essential in these times of hospital taxes, reduced reimbursements, and the rising costs of investing in staff, facilities, emerging technologies, and equipment.

In her remarks, Greenwich Hospital President Diane Kelly encouraged guests to ask our medical experts questions about advances in children’s health care and the growth plan for the hospital. As a progressive medical center and teaching institution representing all medical specialties and offering a wide range of medical, surgical, diagnostic and wellness programs, Greenwich Hospital is recognized throughout the healthcare industry as a leader in service and patient satisfaction excellence.

Echoing Diane Kelly’s remarks, Greenwich Hospital, in partnership with Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital, has transformed the landscape of children’s healthcare in our region. By bringing renowned Yale Medicine clinicians to Greenwich within both the inpatient and outpatient settings, children and their caretakers can access the best, right here, close to home.
