Greenwich Hospital Foundation announces Suni Unger, CEO and founder Serendipity Magazine as Master of Ceremonies for Gala
Greenwich, CT (Sept. 26, 2018) – Greenwich Hospital Foundation announced that Suni Unger, CEO and founder, Unger Media, and longtime supporter of Greenwich Hospital will emcee the 2018 Treasure Gala for Greenwich Hospital on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018 at Greenwich Country Club.
In addition to publishing Serendipity, the luxury lifestyle magazine celebrating the best of Fairfield and Westchester counties and NYC, Unger Media has a strong commitment to giving back to the community through signature events and non-profit partnerships, including The Greenwich Wine + Food Festival, Serendipity Fashion Night Out, Serendipity Golf Classic and Design Market Symposiums.
Since founding Serendipity magazine in 2009, Ms. Unger has been a champion of philanthropic support for Greenwich Hospital. She has volunteered on fundraising event committees and provided underwriting for all of the hospital events, where beneficiaries have ranged from Heart and Vascular Services, to Women and Children’s Health, to Oncology, to this year’s beneficiary, the Emergency Department.
“Suni is a selfless benefactor not only of Greenwich Hospital, but of a wide range of nonprofits as well,” said Norman Roth, president and CEO of Greenwich Hospital when he extended the Master of Ceremonies invitation to Ms. Unger. “Her passion for causes, of which we at the hospital are fortunate to be one recipient, is inspiring. Many of her employees share her spirit of giving, and have volunteered with us.”
Said Suni Unger, “I am humbled and honored by this invitation to stand beside Norman Roth, who I consider a friend, at this wonderful event for an institution very near to my heart. Greenwich Hospital represents first rate, compassionate care to every person, at every encounter. In my world, publishing, content, the stories we tell, is what carries meaning. At Greenwich Hospital these stories are conveyed in thousands of daily moments of expertise and excellence delivered by physicians, nurses, technicians and staff. They give us reassurance that we’ve come to the right place.”
Greenwich Hospital will hold its annual gala fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018 at Greenwich Country Club to support emergency services. Last year, the Emergency Department received visits from 39,000 patients, 25 percent of whom were children.
Greenwich resident, Karen Rubin, is chairing the event. The Bennett and Kanarek families, the Greenwich Hospital Auxiliary and the O’Malley family will be honored for their volunteerism, leadership and philanthropic engagement in support of Greenwich Hospital. Guests will enjoy a festive evening inclusive of silent and live auctions, dinner and dancing.
We invite our extended community to join us in this important celebration. To purchase tickets or for more information, please contact Stephanie Dunn Ashley at 203-863-3865, by email email@example.com or visit our website: https://giving.greenhosp.org/gala2018.
